If we try to argue, they (the religious) always give me this same answer, "God (or gods) do exist!", "Proof it!" I said, "Well.... umm... See, the universe is created by God", "How?", "Err... I dunno, but God do exist!"
Not satisfied, I asked other source... The same thing keep happenin over and over again... But what amazed me, that one day an atheist guy said this to me "there is no such thing as this nonsense called god! It is only a myth! An imaginary super-power guy that created by human".... "Okaay... So, who made the universe?" "Nobody!" "So how the universe created" "Well have u ever heard of 'Big Bang' theory?" "Continue..." "Well, the entire universe as we know it and provided the elements for the first stars. There was a giant star where the solar system is now. It exploded spreading material out through space. The material contained all the elements we find in our solar system today. After many millions of years the material started to come together again because of gravity. Most of the material came together in the middle to form our sun. The rest of material circled round the sun and came together through gravity and collisions to make the planets about 4.5 billion years ago. It took another few million years for the collisions to stop, one giant collision with the early Earth is thought to have created the moon. The Earth started off molten but began to cool and formed the crust. During the cooling most of the water and gases were released from inside to form the oceans and the atmosphere. After life evolved it changed the atmosphere and the surface to what we see now."
After such long explanation, I replied "Looks confncing...Except one..." "What, something about god again? don't u get it? there no such thing called god!" "umm... I'm not mentioning about god yet... but I wanna ask u one thing..." "Which is?" "Who created this big star?" "Ever heard the nebular hypothesis?" "Yup but not quite understand it yet..." "Well, here we go again... The star was created by a long process beginning with the collapse of a huge molecular cloud under the influence of gravity. Most of the collapsing mass collected in the centre, which is later forming the big star, and there comes the big bang theory, where the disk of material from this big star (which called the protoplanetary disk) spread out around the newly formed star. Further "ordering" under gravimetric influence produced "centers of accretion" where enough material gathered to form the planets."
"Still not satisfied..." "Which part is not convincing enough?" "Nothing, just the same question keep pop inside my mind.... Who created this molecular cloud?" "Nobody... It just accidentally exist there, and accidentally the gravity exist..." "How come something exist by itself? You now what I mean... ex nihilo, nihil fit..." "Well, what about M-theory?" "I been doing research about the fact, but still how can u believe about something that even u can't proofed it existence... Isn't it just the same way with believing that God exist?" "And... isn't it much easier by accepting by God do exist?"
Suddenly his face turned red, and he left me unanswered...
From my conclusion, God do exist, if we kept asking the same question about who create which... In the end we have to admit to ourselves that God do exist and He created everything in order... Whether which theory about creation is the correct one, we have to admit that God is the only person that make all thing in order with His own creativity by creating the universe, whether it just happened like magic, or even just like the nebular hypothesis or the big bang theory states, it just happened, the essence is that God is the person in charge with the creation...
Human minds are limited, there are several things that even nowadays hard to be understood... Why human had emotion, and many others... Sometimes we have to admit our own weakness and just 'believe' that He exist...
It reminds me of a passage that says "In the beginning God created heavens and earth."
A simple statement, yet many doubt it, several called it as a myth... But, if we try to be true with our heart, we will find that even the smartest person ever existed on earth able to accept the truth that God exist.
Another lesson for me then...
