Salt...

Sometime I asking myself, about this simple thing that we known in our life that we called by the name 'salt'.
What is a salt? How it formed?
Well, it reminds me back in the past, where I'm still in Senior High, I found myself asking the same question... about salt....

It takes time for me to really find the answer... Well, according to wikipedia, salt is a mineral that is composed primarily of sodium chloride (NaCl), a chemical compound belonging to the larger class of ionic salts.

There are many kind of salt that can be found in this world, but only a few that are edible. Edible rock salts as we know it may be slightly grayish in color because of mineral content. Chloride and sodium ions, the two major components of salt, are needed by all known living creatures in small quantities. Salt is involved in regulating the water content (fluid balance) of the body. The sodium ion itself is used for electrical signaling in the nervous system.

Back to my question... After I found these answer, a new question begin to pop in my head, what made salt become so important in our life?

Another reference come to me, from a Bible passage, Jesus mention us a 'salt of the earth', what does it means? Aaargh, so confused... Why I kept asking questions?

As time goes by, the question remains unanswered, but lately I found myself, in an accidental way, I realize that human only need a small amount of salt in their daily diet, why this slight amount could have a great effect in our life, Only a small quantities, yet the result is so remarkable...

And why we need to be called as a 'salt of the earth'? This time, I find the answer is quite simple, God expect something big in our life, though we are nobody in others eye, we need to give a great impact in life... We need to stand up and show the world who we are, we have to give an impact in or culture...

Well, I admit it, today I learn something big from a simple thing... It feels great to know that God, create us this way so we could think back and learn from anything, even from something ordinary... Just like what I did... Well, in the end... have a nice day all...
